A simply game as a geography puzzle has the potential of teaching loads of knowledge about the placement of continents, countries, oceans, rivers etc. on the map, while working on the logical thinking ability at the same time. The child uses his earlier knowledge of matching shapes and colors to find the pieces that match and uses his logical thinking to segregate the bordering pieces from the general pieces. Soon he learns about the location of continents and oceans and with every attempt, he becomes sharper and quicker in the placement of the pieces. Holding the puzzle pieces and fixing them in exact spaces also develops the fine motor skills of the child.
